Testing criteria

Ten aspects pertaining to the riflescope were highlighted for review to determine overall build, quality and value of the offering (each item was rated out of 5 with an overall score out of 10 which subsequently was 8/10):

  1. Eye relief & Diopter Adjustment : Eye relief is good, and diopter adjustment seemed good, but I did not need to adjust it. 5/5

  2. Magnification adjustment : Magnification adjustment is a bit stiff, but works good. 4/5

  3. Turrets / Tracking (windage & elevation – click feel, click audibility, turret size, adjustment response upon firing, recoil handling, etc.) : The turrets are large, easy to read, and have good audible and tactile clicks when adjusting, although I personally find that they adjust a little too easily for my style of shooting and for hunting purposes, and found that my elevation and windage had accidentally adjusted whilst shooting during a few stages. Scope tracked flawlessly. 3/5

  4. Parallax / Focus adjustment knob : The parallax adjustment was good, and forgiving. 5/5

  5. Illuminated reticle adjustment knob : Adjustment was good and solid. 5/5

  6. Reticle (focal plane, size, thickness, holdovers, design) : Good reticle size, but would prefer a ballistic “Christmas tree” type reticle for this FFP precision rifle purpose scope, so as to be able to hold-over on the reticle for elevation and windage during shooting stages. 3/5

  7. Glass (ocular lens, objective lens, overall clarity at variable ranges, etc.) : Glass is good for this price point with good clarity on different ranges and magnifications, some chromatic aberration, but much better than other scopes in this price range. 4/5

  8. Overall scope aesthetics : The scope looks and feels good in hand and looks good mounted on a rifle. 4/5

  9. Packaging : Packaging was good, and it protects the scope well. 5/5

  10. Price : The price is very reasonable for the quality and performance you get from this scope, I would say it is one of the best value scopes in this price range. 5/5
