Testing criteria
Ten aspects pertaining to the riflescope were highlighted for review to determine overall build, quality and value of the offering (each item was rated out of 5 with an overall score out of 10 which subsequently was 10/10):
Eye relief & Diopter Adjustment : I found the eye relief to be a fantastic design having smooth and easy adjustability with a wide range to suit the old eye. 5/5
Magnification Adjustment : I had to shoot at various magnifications throughout the day due to competition rules. Adjustment are easy and precise, I found the magnification ring to be nice and stiff which is exactly what you need. 5/5
Turrets (windage & elevation – click feel, click audibility, turret size) :During the competition we shot various distances ranging from 50m to 300m, The turrets both on elevation and windage are easy adjustable, easy to read and easy to see from behind the rifle. I noticed that when removing the rifle from the bag that the windage had shifted due to the turret being so easily movable. I had to sight in the rifle, this was done easy and pain free it took no time at all. I used the reticle to help guide me and they were spot on! 5/5
Tracking (adjustment response upon firing, Recoil handling, etc.) : During the sight in process I used the reticle to see what adjustments needed to be made and this was done without any issues. 5/5
Parallax / Focus adjustment knob : This knob is the tightest of all the movable turrets although it is stiff I enjoyed it being like this. 5/5
Reticle (focal plane, size, thickness, holdovers, design) : Easy to understand and easy to use. The simplicity helps to clear the overall picture. 5/5
Glass (ocular lens, objective lens, overall clarity at variable ranges, etc.) : Glass is better than you expect it to be. You get top quality glass for an affordable price! The glass compares to higher end optics. 5/5
Illuminated reticle adjustment knob : Unfortunately I did not use this during the competition but I did play with it and the benefits are fantastic for either low light or just to light up the reticle to improve shot placement. 5/5
Overall scope aesthetics & Packaging : I enjoy the matt black finish it gives it an expensive yet practical look. 5/5
Price : Looking at what other optics in this price range has to offer I think this is a very well priced optic offering you more for less. 5/5
