1 - 4 x 24 compared to German favourite

The 1-4x riflescope is a compact setup at home in either hunting or tactical type shooting. Its light weight and relative small size in comparison to traditional riflescopes make it an attractive option in settings where the shooter expects to handle his/ her rifle a lot. With this type of optic your aim is to shoot over short to medium distances with the ability to rapidly acquire and fire at targets being non-negotiable.

Especially for those in the bushveld hunting or culling game this type of optic ticks most boxes. Keep in-mind though what becomes even more important when an objective bell is not present is the quality of your glass and a reticle illumination bright enough to be illuminated in broad daylight with the ability to dim down for night shooting. We would also argue that the reticle needs to be on the first focal plane so as not to obscure the target at close range.

Of course the SouthPoint Optics AR4-IR ticks ALL the boxes. Once again at a price our established competitors won’t match (not to say they can’t). So take a look at (yet again) our esteemed German competitor’s offer side by side with ours. From what we can see, they’ve chosen to only go the Second Focal Plane route whereas, for reasons noted above, we’ve chosen FFP.

Here’s how they stack up:

So then, why are you still paying more than you should when you have a brand designed and priced for your South African type shooting?
