About Us

At SouthPoint Optics we believe life is too short for settling. We know the feeling of wanting top quality yet having to settle for less OR having to wait a VERY long time to get it, because the South African shooter was an after-thought rather than the focus.

We get it. We experienced it ourselves.

Instead of settling for this status quo, we decided there must be a better way and found there was! The result was the creation of this local company SouthPoint Optics, where our overall goal is to make highly specked, high-quality optics and related products accessible to more local shooters. This goal is underpinned by the following three aims:

Top quality optics

We know the role premium optics, particularly Japanese engineered and crafted optics play, in ensuring better accuracy, clearer visibility, and a more enjoyable experience overall.

Paying it forward

We cut out as many logistical pit-tops as possible, so we can set prices with the South African shooter in mind. Trading down on quality to cut costs is not how we operate.

Peace of mind

We know the importance of durable and reliable equipment, that can handle the bumps and jolts of any shooting experience. That is why all our products are built from high-quality components, using the latest tried and tested technology AND have a Lifetime Fit For Purpose Warranty for any manufacturers fault.

Quality

We sourced the absolute best Japanese OEM to run the design and production of our products. With many decades of experience manufacturing for top international brands, the quality contained in SouthPoint Optics is geared to rival the very best in the field.

Precision

All components are selected for their proven performance. From the use of single tube 6061 aluminium, multicoated Extra Low Dispersion glass, glass-etched reticles and argon purging all rifle scopes, amongst others, have all been combined to create optics with the precision and repeatability you'd come to expect.

Durability

SouthPoint Optics riflescopes have been built to withstand the recoil of as much as a .50 caliber including dual recoil produced by airguns - making them fit for virtually any rifle.
